About The Position

Sanford Health is hiring a Registered Nurse at St. Vincent’s, a 97-bed senior skilled nursing facility in Bismarck, North Dakota, specializing in long-term and post-acute care. The RN uses the nursing process to provide individualized care to residents and collaborates with residents, families, providers, and other interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care. This part-time position is scheduled for 10 hours per week on day shifts, with a 6:00 a.m. shift start and an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation.

Requirements

Hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where nursing practice occurs, or possess multistate licensure if practicing in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
Work an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation.

Nice To Haves

Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program; examples include CCNE, ACEN, and NLN CNEA-accredited programs.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized nursing care using assessment, diagnosis, outcomes and planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Provide care during all phases of preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
Coordinate care, assess residents, provide resident education, and perform other nursing interventions.
Collaborate with residents, families, providers, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
May serve as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel according to their job descriptions, skills, resident care needs, and competence.
Provide delegates with support and assistance to promote safe, reliable resident care and resolve care and service concerns.
Practice within the applicable Nurse Practice Act, administrative rules, nursing standards, and professional ethics.
