Registered Nurse - RN - Endoscopy Center
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care, facilitating all aspects of the patient visit experience. In the endoscopy unit, the RN prepares patients for procedures, assists physicians during procedures, provides procedural sedation, manages postoperative care and discharge, and cleans scopes according to manufacturer instructions. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, for 40 hours per week on the day shift. The facility is Magnet designated and has active shared decision-making councils.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school and program.
- Associate degree in nursing required.
- Licensed in the State of Michigan.
- Experience as an RN required.
- In Grand Rapids, ADN-prepared nurses must enroll in a BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete it within 4 years of hire.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients before procedures.
- Instruct patients about at-home preparation for procedures.
- Assist the physician during procedures as part of the procedural team.
- Provide nurse sedation during a procedure.
- Manage postoperative care and discharge of patients in the endoscopy unit.
- Clean scopes according to manufacturer instructions.
- Facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience while delivering individualized, evidence-based care.
