Shift Info PRN What You’ll Do As an Oncology Registered Nurse, you'll provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals receiving cancer treatment in our outpatient setting. Working closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team, you'll deliver specialized treatments, educate patients and families, and help ensure every patient receives safe, high-quality care throughout their treatment journey.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) DORA license.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required upon hire; Chemotherapy and PICC Line certifications required within six (6) months of hire.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills with the ability to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, providers, and colleagues.
  • Proficient with electronic health records and healthcare technology, or able to become proficient within six (6) months of hire in required clinical systems and software.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two years of professional nursing experience preferred, with oncology or infusion experience considered a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and document individualized nursing care for oncology patients.
  • Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, blood products, infusion therapies, fluids, electrolytes, and other prescribed treatments while monitoring patient response.
  • Perform and maintain vascular access, including port access, PICC line care, and intramuscular injections, following established protocols.
  • Assist physicians with examinations, outpatient procedures, wound care, and other clinical interventions.
  • Provide patient education, counseling, and supportive care to promote health, manage treatment side effects, and improve quality of life.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team, maintain accurate documentation, communicate professionally, and support additional clinical responsibilities as needed.
  • Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.

  • Shift Differentials: $2–$4/hour for nights and weekends, and other incentive pay available.
