Registered Nurse- Outpatient Infusion Center
About The Position
BJC/Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is hiring an Infusion Registered Nurse for its Hospital Outpatient Infusion Center. The role is part of a rapidly growing program and includes assisting with research studies, providing patient and family education, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team focused on improving patient outcomes. The clinic is high-volume and fast-paced, Magnet designated, and COC and QOPI certified. The nurse administers chemotherapy and immunotherapy and may be asked to float to other locations: Overland Park, North, and Lees Summit. Assistance is provided to obtain Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification within 90 days of employment, along with renewal vouchers. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The position requires 2–3 weekend shifts per year and one holiday every two years. Requirements
- At least 1 year of applicable experience.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation.
- Registered Nurse qualification.
- Oncology experience or strong IV skills.
- Be organized, team oriented, adaptable, and enjoy helping others.
- Demonstrate compassion and strong relationship-building skills, with a focus on the whole patient.
