About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering nursing care within the assigned unit’s scope of practice, following hospital policies and procedures, nursing process guidelines, and standards of care and practice. The role is in the PACU and has daily work times of 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., with an evening shift and 72 scheduled bi-weekly hours.

Requirements

• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• At least one year of telemetry experience.
• BLS certification as a Healthcare Provider, or equivalent through the Military Training Network (MTN), required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Medical/Surgical Care Unit, Critical Care Unit, and/or Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Assess each assigned patient, document and evaluate the patient’s response to the plan of care, and take appropriate corrective action.
• Plan and implement the patient’s plan of care or standard of care and provide patient teaching using that plan.
• Oversee ancillary personnel performing technical tasks.
