Registered Nurse Weekend Cadre - Stepdown (Pontiac)
About The Position
The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the nursing process and works collaboratively with other healthcare team members to maintain professional nursing practice standards. The nurse carries out responsibilities according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and professional and regulatory guidelines, and directs, coordinates, and delegates activities to support patient- and family-centered care. This position is in the 9 W Stepdown department. Scheduled bi-weekly hours are 72, with variable daily work times between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Scheduled shifts fall between 7:00 a.m. Friday and 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Requirements
- RN licensure.
- BCLS.
- ACLS is required for certain units.
- Graduate of an approved school of Nursing.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in the department’s clinical specialty.
- BSN.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, and educational needs.
- Plan and implement nursing care according to patient and family needs.
- Make appropriate interventions based on individual patient needs.
- Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
- Take personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, the environment, and professional development.
