Registered Nurse Weekend Cadre - Acute Care Medicine (Pontiac)
About The Position
The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through utilization of the nursing process and works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. The nurse carries out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. The role directs, coordinates, and delegates activities to foster patient- and family-centered care. The position is in the 8 W Medical Surgical department. Scheduled bi-weekly hours are 72, with shifts falling between 7 pm Friday and 7:30 am Monday.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program.
- Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
- BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- ACLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, and educational needs.
- Plan and implement nursing care according to patient and family needs.
- Make appropriate interventions based on individual patient needs.
- Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
- Assume personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, the environment, and professional development.
