About The Position

ChristianaCare Hospital in Newark, Delaware, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its 3B General Medical Unit. The unit is a 32-bed inpatient general medical unit with telemetry that provides scheduled and emergent care and procedures 24 hours a day. It serves adult and geriatric patients requiring inpatient care, with conditions ranging from fair to serious. Patients are admitted or transferred from home, the emergency department, physician offices, and other hospital units. The unit cares for patients with a range of diagnoses and needs, including COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, alcohol or opioid withdrawal, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, altered mental status, osteomyelitis, back pain, diabetes management, and cellulitis. This part-time position is 24 hours per week, with either 12-hour shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. or three 8-hour shifts from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Weekend and holiday scheduling follows department guidelines.

Requirements

Delaware RN license or Compact Nursing License.
BSN, or commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of the hire date.
At least one year of experience in acute care or sub-acute care.
BLS certification required.
