Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac
About The Position
Abrazo Arrowhead Campus is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Cardiac/Telemetry Unit on a full-time day shift. The RN provides individualized bedside care using the nursing process, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and supports high-quality outcomes for cardiac patients. The role includes participating in initiatives such as hourly rounding and may involve serving as a charge nurse as needed. The position is suited to nurses with acute-care experience in cardiac, telemetry, CVICU, or ICU settings who can work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Requirements
- At least one year of acute-care nursing experience in a cardiac, telemetry, CVICU, or ICU setting.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Current Arizona RN license, or eligibility to obtain one.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required upon completion of orientation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
- Commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Leadership qualities and ability to mentor junior staff when needed.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of experience in a cardiac stepdown or progressive care unit.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with the nursing process and hospital policies.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement care plans.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to other members of the healthcare team.
- Participate in quality and safety initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow safety protocols.
- Participate in initiatives such as hourly rounding.
- Serve in a charge nurse capacity as needed.
