About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac/Telemetry Unit on a full-time day shift. The role is suited to RNs with at least one year of acute care experience in a cardiac, telemetry, or stepdown setting who can work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The Registered Nurse provides individualized bedside care using the nursing process, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and supports quality outcomes for cardiac patients. The role includes participation in hourly rounding and may include serving in a charge nurse capacity as needed.

Requirements

At least 1 year of acute care experience in medical-surgical, telemetry/progressive care, or cardiac care.
Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with team members.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above-average pressure.
Basic computer skills.
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
CPR or ACLS, as applicable by facility or department.

Nice To Haves

CVICU or ICU experience, or at least 2 years in Cardiac Stepdown.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit.
Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
Renders individualized, age-specific, direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs.
Assesses, plans, delegates, and uses independent judgment to direct other healthcare employees in providing patient care.
Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals.
Participates in hourly rounding.
Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices.
May be asked to be in charge of shifts.
Supervises other members of the healthcare team.
