About The Position

Care Initiatives is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment. The role supports daily clinical operations, promotes resident safety and quality care, and works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team across the company’s skilled nursing communities in Iowa. The position is full-time, with overnight hours from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Requirements

• Hold a valid RN license in good standing; the license must be valid in Iowa or the candidate must be able to activate it.
• Have current, valid CPR certification.
• Have knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to helping others and consistently treat them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit while ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately according to clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
