About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) uses the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcomes and planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide individualized nursing care to patients in a pain management clinic. The role coordinates care, assesses and educates patients, performs triage, and provides other nursing interventions. The RN collaborates with physicians and other interprofessional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care, and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise and applicable standards for the assigned clinical setting. The position follows the Nurse Practice Act and administrative rules in the state of practice and licensure, as well as the American Nurses Association’s Scope and Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics for Nurses. The department is described as a growing pain management team. The position works day shifts, eight hours per shift, Monday through Friday, with 40 scheduled hours per week.

Requirements

Hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where nursing practice occurs, or possess multistate licensure if practicing in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
Obtain and maintain required department-specific licensure, competencies, and certifications.

Nice To Haves

Graduation from an accredited nursing program is preferred.
A Bachelor’s Degree in nursing is preferred.
