About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to patients. The RN is responsible for coordinating and integrating patient care using the nursing process and directing care according to established safety, risk-management, quality-improvement, and infection-control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimal level of care. The role is in the Trauma area and is part-time, day shift.

Requirements

• Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualifying for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Basic EKG.
• Critical care course and/or emergency care course that includes critical-care didactic instruction.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Prior clinical experience in the area of expertise.
• CCRN or TCRN certification.
• PALS within six months.
• TNCC within one year for Trauma Resus and TICU; optional for TSD.
• ENPC within one year for Trauma Resus; optional for TICU and TSD.

Responsibilities

• Report for scheduled shifts on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attend and participate in meetings and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.
• Adhere to corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Follow infection-control procedures at all times.
• Adhere to environmental care standards.
• Adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
