About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to patients. The RN coordinates and integrates patient care based on the nursing process and directs care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimum level of care. This is a full-time night-shift position in Trauma. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available to qualified candidates, paid over 24 months.

Requirements

• Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualifying for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Basic EKG qualification.
• Critical care course and/or emergency care course that includes critical care didactic as part of the course.
• PALS within six months.
• TNCC within one year for Trauma Resus and TICU only.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Prior clinical experience in the area of expertise preferred.
• CCRN preferred for TICU and TSD.
• TCRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report for scheduled shifts on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attend and participate in meetings and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.
• Adhere to corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Follow infection control procedures at all times.
• Adhere to environmental care standards.
• Adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process.
• Direct patient care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards.
