About The Position
Munson Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for its D4 Orthopedics inpatient unit in Traverse City, Michigan. The 24-bed unit primarily cares for adults who have undergone total hip, knee, or shoulder replacements. Other patient populations include stable trauma patients, joint revisions, and fractures. The role involves caring for patients at different stages of life while working alongside orthopedic specialists and using next-generation technology, including ROSA, a robotic surgical assistant. Nurses should be prepared to meet complex patient needs and maintain a calm, caring demeanor in an environment that can sometimes be unpredictable. Requirements
- Hold a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan.
- Have 2 years of relevant experience.
- Have a diploma or ADN and obtain a BSN within 5 years.
- Be flexible, communicate effectively, demonstrate compassion, attention to detail, and patience, and remain open toward diverse lifestyles.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a specific clinical area such as Med/Surg, ICU, or OB is preferred; the posting does not specify which area.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients in the D4 Orthopedics inpatient unit, primarily adults recovering from total hip, knee, or shoulder replacements.

- Help meet patients’ complex needs and contribute to their healing and recovery.
- Work alongside orthopedic specialists and use available orthopedic technology, including the ROSA robotic surgical assistant.
