About The Position

Provide nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), maintaining an approximate nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. The role involves working three 12-hour day shifts on weekdays, with occasional weekends and rotating holidays. The nurse must be willing to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity. Use IV-start and telemetry-monitoring skills and document in Epic. Parking information: The WMC permit provides 24/7 access to the Wexner Medical Center Garage and costs $224.80 per month or $748.58 per 100 days. The WB and CXS permits require annual upfront payment and are not available monthly. The WB annual permit costs $196.20 and provides access to the 9th Avenue East and West Garages on weekends and holidays, and West Campus WB/WC lots 24/7 with shuttle service. Parking is available in West Campus Carmack Lots 2 and 3, approximately 1.7 miles from the medical center; the Pink Shuttle runs every 3–5 minutes during peak times and takes approximately 8–9 minutes to reach the medical center. Weekend garage access runs from Friday at 2:00 p.m. through Monday at 8:00 a.m.; regular hourly garage rates apply outside those hours. The CXS annual permit costs $393.96 and provides access to the 9th Avenue East and West Garages on weekends and holidays, and Buckeye CX and West Campus lots 24/7. Prorated refunds may be available for unused future months on annual permits; current and prior months are nonrefundable. Cancel by 6:30 p.m. on the last business day of the month to avoid the next charge. Refund checks may take 3–5 weeks.
