About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinical Resource Unit works in the internal float pool at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, a Level I trauma center in Downers Grove, Illinois. The RN floats throughout the hospital, including the observation unit, five medical/telemetry units, critical care stepdown, and behavioral health. Listed staffing ratios are 4–5 patients in observation and medical/telemetry, and 3–4 patients in critical care stepdown. The RN provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The role uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills while helping create a safe patient environment and a positive patient experience across the continuum of care. The position is full-time, with 36 hours per week, every third weekend, and every other holiday.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
