Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN Day Shift
About The Position
Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate care and treatment to patients throughout their recovery. This is a PRN/per-diem day-shift role in Davenport, Iowa, with a minimum requirement of four shifts in a six-week period. The PRN rate is $52.00 per hour, with shift differentials for nights and weekends. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is listed. The hospital offers a thorough RN orientation program and notes that the position may provide a path to future full-time opportunities.
Requirements
- Valid state RN license.
- BLS certification required at hire.
- ACLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities
- Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
- Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
- Document care accurately and promptly using appropriate systems.
- Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
- Ensure medical orders are accurately transcribed and processed.
- Demonstrate competence during rapid response and code events.
- Instruct and counsel patients and families.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
