About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Special Care Unit provides high-quality direct and indirect, patient-centered care using the nursing process. The nurse coordinates care collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team and communicates the patient’s clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. The role requires knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan and the skills to provide age-appropriate care to the patient population served. The nurse promotes the nursing profession and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. The position is with Hartford HealthCare’s Greater Manchester Region, part of Connecticut’s comprehensive healthcare network.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
Current licensure in the state of Connecticut.
Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire, or obtain both certifications within the new employee introductory orientation period.
Maintain clinical competency during employment in this role.
Knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the patient population served.
