About The Position

This role provides direct clinical patient care in a telemetry setting. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing direct clinical care for assigned patients on a per-shift and unit-level basis. The role also supervises staff to whom care is appropriately delegated and supports the CNO in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and appropriate management of patient-care resources.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current applicable state RN licensure or permit.
BLS certification required upon hire for all nursing positions.
ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire for Med/Surg/Telemetry RNs.
CPI certification required within 3 months of hire for specified Emergency Department, float-pool, and Behavioral Health RNs.
PALS certification required within 3 months of hire for Emergency Department RNs and float-pool RNs who float to the Emergency Department.
For Bartlett hires only, NRP certification required within 3 months of hire for L&D, Mother/Baby, and NICU RNs.

Nice To Haves

Academic degree in nursing (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree).

Responsibilities

Coordinate care for assigned patients using a multidisciplinary approach.
Develop plans of care for newly admitted patients and modify them as patient conditions or needs change.
Deliver nursing interventions consistent with the stated medical plan of care.
Perform procedures in the specialty service area.
Document nursing care accurately and completely in assigned patient records and on appropriate forms.
Perform related duties as required.
Supervise staff to whom appropriate care is delegated.
Support the CNO in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and appropriate patient-care resource management.
