Registered Nurse (RN) / PCU2 Mixed Acuity Unit
About The Position
The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who partners with and advocates for patients, families, and significant others by providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support that impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in nursing practice, using the nursing process and evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload within the department’s scope of service. The RN serves as a guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentry, and collaborates with and guides care delivered by the inter-professional team. The RN is accountable for complying with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, the Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards. This position is in the PCU 2 Mixed Acuity Unit at Upper Valley Medical Center. It is full-time, with a 7:00 a.m. to 7:20 p.m. shift and 72 hours per pay period.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid Ohio RN license.
- Able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
