About The Position

The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who partners with and advocates for patients, families, and significant others, providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support to positively impact patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN functions in a versatile role, demonstrating professionalism and promoting excellence and autonomy in nursing practice. The RN uses the nursing process and evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload within the department’s scope of service. Serving as a guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentry, the RN collaborates with and guides care delivered by the inter-professional team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, the Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards.

This position is in the Head & Neck Surgical Oncology department at Miami Valley Hospital.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Valid Ohio RN license.
• Current CPR certification required at the time of hire.
• Minimum of 6 months of hospital advanced care RN experience.
• Ability to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
