About The Position

St. Luke’s is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for the Park Center Quick Care Clinic in Boise. This RN role supports patient-centered care in a newly opened, fast-paced urgent care clinic. The nurse works collaboratively with providers and support staff to care for patients with urgent health needs, promote patient safety, and help maintain smooth clinic operations and patient flow. The schedule is part-time at 0.6 FTE. In a two-week pay period, the schedule is Thursday and Saturday from 0745 to 2015 in Week 1, and Thursday and Friday from 0745 to 2015 in Week 2.

Requirements

Nursing degree.
One year of experience.
Current RN licensure from the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification through the American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.

Nice To Haves

Urgent care and/or emergency department experience is ideal.

Responsibilities

Triage walk-in and scheduled patients to assess acuity and determine priority of care.
Assist with procedures including incision and drainage, sutures, IVs, catheters, nasal suctioning, splinting, wound care, and medication administration.
Perform point-of-care testing and support laboratory specimen collection and processing.
Room patients and prepare them for provider evaluation, including obtaining vital signs and health history.
Respond to changes in patient condition and collaborate with providers to ensure timely interventions.
Support a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Communicate with patients and families to provide education and follow-up care instructions.
Work closely with providers and support staff to support smooth clinic operations and patient flow.
