Urgent Care Registered Nurse

SOUTH BOSTON COMMUNITY HEALTH•Boston, MA
•$43 - $51•Onsite

About The Position

The Urgent Care Registered Nurse is a vital member of the Urgent Care team, serving as both a clinical collaborator in patient care decisions and a leader in managing patient flow and volume. In this role, the nurse enhances patient care through telephone and in-person triage, leadership of medical response situations, and implementation of nursing interventions such as medication administration, wound care, and splinting. This position is well suited for an individual who values teamwork while maintaining a high degree of clinical autonomy. Our collaborative environment fosters mutual respect among providers, nurses, and support staff, with nursing playing a key role in daily operations and patient outcomes. Nurses in this role have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individual patients while serving a diverse community, including many underserved populations. Our medical response workflow utilizes a nurse-driven triage model to rapidly assess patients with higher-acuity medical concerns and determine the most appropriate level of care. The Urgent Care Registered Nurse leads this process by directing patient flow, coordinating team-based care when needed, facilitating prompt evaluation within the Urgent Care setting, or initiating transfer to the emergency department for patients experiencing life-threatening conditions. This critical role ensures patients receive timely, appropriate, and effective care based on their clinical needs.
