About The Position

The Registered Nurse delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse directs and coordinates nursing care for patients in accordance with established clinical nursing practice standards and collaborates with other professional disciplines to support effective and efficient care delivery and desired patient outcomes. This position is part of the Massachusetts Nurses Association Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital and operates within organizational and departmental policies and procedures. It reports to the Nurse Manager/Director. The role is based onsite at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, 30 Locust Street. The schedule is 24 hours per week, with shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Demonstrated excellent technical, interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills required.
Additional unit-specific education and experience requirements are outlined in the unit Addendum.
Experience cannot be accepted in lieu of a degree.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
Med/Surg experience preferred.
