About The Position

Community Medical Center is seeking a part-time Surgery/Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide perioperative care. The schedule is days, two 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a call rotation. Weekend and holiday call rotation applies per union contract.

The RN joins a collaborative operating room team working with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and fellow nurses to provide safe, efficient, high-quality surgical care. The team supports bariatric weight loss, colorectal, general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, pediatric surgery, plastics, podiatry, robotic surgery, and urology.

Requirements

• Current Montana RN license or Compact RN License with Montana endorsement.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school.
• BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required upon hire.
• At least 1 year of bedside nursing experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Surgical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical suites with solutions, scopes, equipment, and supplies.
• Assess and care for patients throughout the perioperative process, including pre-procedure and post-procedure care.
• Operate specialized equipment and maintain a safe environment.
• Account for supplies used during surgical procedures.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
