About The Position
The Nurse Manager, Operating Room at Saint Francis Hospital leads a skilled perioperative team and supports exceptional surgical care and patient outcomes. The Surgery Department provides minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures and offers clinical leaders the opportunity to support advanced surgical technologies and continuous process improvement. The Manager of Perioperative Services directs patient care in the perioperative environment and manages staff across all Perioperative Departments. The manager consults with staff, physicians, and the Nurse Executive on nursing issues and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. The role maintains departmental performance-improvement activities and assists with formulating the department budget. This is a full-time, exempt position with regular business hours on the day shift at Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois.
Requirements
- Current, valid state Registered Nurse license.
- BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained current.
- At least two years of supervisory or management experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for hires after 1/11/2021.
- Current ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained current.
- At least two years of experience in surgical nursing.
- Current PALS (AHA) certification for facilities caring for a pediatric population.
Nice To Haves
- CNOR certification preferred.
Responsibilities
