About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) working part-time in the Emergency Department at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. The role involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, ensuring safe and therapeutic care in accordance with established standards. The RN will utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience. The CMC Main Adult ED is a fast-paced, high-acuity 43-bed Adult Emergency Department within a Level 1 Trauma Center and Magnet-designated hospital. It serves as a Comprehensive Stroke and STEMI Center, caring for over 70,000 patients annually with a focus on teamwork, critical thinking, and adaptability. The department is a recipient of the ENA Lantern Award.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
6 months of RN experience

Responsibilities
