About The Position

The CMC Main Adult ED is a fast-paced, high-acuity 43-bed Adult Emergency Department, located within a Level 1 Trauma Center and Magnet-designated hospital. It cares for over 70,000 patients annually as a Comprehensive Stroke and STEMI Center, emphasizing teamwork, critical thinking, and adaptability. The department is a recipient of the ENA Lantern Award for innovation, leadership, and excellence in emergency nursing. As a skilled and compassionate RN, the role involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This includes using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • 6 months of RN experience

Responsibilities

  • Providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
