About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) uses the nursing process—including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes and planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide individualized care to patients. This role provides ongoing, high-quality care to patients and families, working both independently and collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals. The position is based on Broadway Med Surg, a 47-bed medical/surgical unit serving nephrology, urology, oral-maxillary/facial, and general surgery patients. Surgical populations include gynecologic, colorectal, urologic, hernia repair, breast and plastics, laparoscopic, maxillofacial, and kidney transplant patients. The unit welcomes new and experienced nurses and offers opportunities to develop medical/surgical skills, with potential to build a foundation for future work in the ICU, OR, or Emergency Department. Sanford offers a nurse residency program, onboarding and training, and education that integrates evidence-based practices. Nurses can also pursue clinical growth through Sanford's Clinical Ladder Program. The role is scheduled for 36 hours per week with shifts that vary.
