About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Trauma Med Surg uses critical-thinking skills to coordinate and provide safe, quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse also assists in organizing patient-care activities as assigned. This is a full-time night-shift position. Qualified candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000, paid over 24 months.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse program.
• Registered Nurse license.
• BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification within 90 days.
• NIH certification within 60 days.
• EKG certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical condition, skin, pain, fall risk, medication needs, and discharge needs, and provide appropriate interventions.
• Develop and implement a plan of care on admission using assessment data.
• Provide education to patients and families.
• Evaluate patients’ responses to interventions.
• Demonstrate leadership skills.
• Assist in organizing patient-care activities.
