About The Position

Nashua Crossings is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to residents in a warm, comfortable, home-like environment. The role is part of a supportive team focused on building community and long-lasting relationships with associates and residents. This is a full-time evening position, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., with pay of $34.50–$38.50 per hour.

Requirements

Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification.
Graduate of an approved LPN program, in accordance with state requirements.
A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse is preferred.
Previous paid or volunteer experience working with elderly people is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Accurately assess, communicate, and document residents’ status.
Observe and report significant changes in residents’ behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, Resident Care Assistants, and Executive Director, in accordance with state regulations.
Direct and supervise the daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants.
Mentor, guide, and direct Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their work.
Coordinate residents’ care needs with community providers through an effective case management process.
Balance service demands with support for resident independence.
Recognize and help prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and report concerns to appropriate sources in accordance with state regulations.
Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response system alerts, and know when to call for backup.
