About The Position

The UH Lake West ICU is seeking Registered Nurses to provide safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families. The role uses the nursing process to help patients attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. Nurses provide relationship-based care, use technical skills to support safe practice and positive outcomes, communicate and collaborate effectively, contribute to the professional practice of nursing, and demonstrate leadership that supports clinical and operational outcomes. The position also requires compliance with organizational policies and standards and the secure handling of patients’ Protected Health Information (PHI).

Requirements

• Diploma in Nursing or an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Knowledge of the nursing process and practice.
• Ability to use a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio and/or a Multi State Compact License, required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Master in Nursing (MN).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), which may be required based on unit clinical care standards.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), which may be required based on unit clinical care standards.
