About The Position

Under general supervision and in accordance with established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, the Registered Nurse delivers nursing care to patients. The nurse plans and implements care, documents nursing assessments, identifies and reports situations requiring further intervention, formulates and communicates a goal-directed plan of care, and assures patient rights. The role also requires performing job duties in accordance with Tampa General Hospital’s mission, vision, values, and principles of quality improvement.

InterHealth Staffing, a for-profit staffing division of Tampa General Hospital, offers 13-week seasonal assignments with competitive base pay and the potential for contract extensions based on unit needs. The assignment provides an opportunity to experience TGH and may offer the potential to transition into a permanent role. Seasonal applicants must have at least two years of experience in the specific division and be deemed competent to work independently.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
• At least two years of experience within the specific division being hired into.
• Must be deemed competent to work independently.
• Experience working in a PACU PreOp setting at a Level I.
• ICU/critical care experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required through the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Prior pre- and post-operative experience preferred.
