About The Position
The Clinical Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families by implementing a plan of care based on assessment of the patient's physical, psychological, and socioeconomic status, developmental and health care needs, and physician orders for care, treatment, and education. The nurse understands the organization's needs and supports the mission, values, and management of patient care services. The Clinical Nurse supports and incorporates the ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, the North Carolina Board of Nursing Practice Act, WakeMed's Division of Nursing Professional Practice model, and WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care model. This model emphasizes dignity and respect, information sharing, participation, and collaboration with patients and families.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse licensure required.
- Diploma in Nursing or Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
- Two years of nursing experience required, or no experience required with the preferred education.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families through implementation of a plan of care.

- Follow physician orders regarding patient care, treatment, and education.
- Support the mission, values, and management of patient care services.
