About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Neuro Trauma Critical Care Unit at Methodist Hospital. The full-time position is on the night shift. The role is based in a 33-bed Neuro Critical Care unit at a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The unit cares for patients with brain injuries, aneurysms, severe strokes, and a diverse range of neurosurgical, neurotrauma, neuroradiology, and medical neurological conditions. Nurses care for high-acuity patients and work with multidisciplinary teams to support quality care and patient outcomes. The role offers opportunities to develop assessment, critical-thinking, prioritization, and neurological assessment skills.

Requirements

• Associate of Nursing (ASN).
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program. Candidates without graduation from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they have more than two years of acute care experience, subject to Chief Nursing Officer review and approval.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required according to unit or department specialty and patient care policies.

• Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
