About The Position

Desert Valley Hospital, a member of the Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an accredited 148-bed acute care hospital in Southern California. It offers community services including heart care, emergency services, labor and delivery, and surgical services. The hospital is recognized for clinical performance and quality awards. The Registered Nurse provides safe, direct patient care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse guides patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The RN is accountable for care provided to assigned patients and communicates with physicians about clinical changes, cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms. The RN must respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient's condition or response to treatment.

Requirements

Current and valid state RN license.
Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain certification.
Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain certification.
Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Previous acute care hospital experience.
Ventilator management experience.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

Deliver safe patient care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
