About The Position

Hartford Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for Bliss 10i, a twelve-bed unit within Hartford HealthCare’s Heart and Vascular Institute. The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit primarily cares for patients with myocardial infarctions, cardiogenic shock, advanced heart failure, and post-cardiac arrest. Nurses receive training to use specialized equipment to monitor and treat these patients, including transvenous pacemakers, intra-aortic balloon pumps, temporary ventricular assist devices, pulmonary artery catheters, and targeted temperature management. The unit works closely with the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Electrophysiology department, and Cardiovascular Surgical Team. In critical care, Registered Nurses provide skilled bedside expertise and compassionate, high-quality care. The units rely on a team-based approach, with healthcare team members working together to achieve the best outcomes in keeping with Hartford HealthCare’s values of Safety, Excellence, Integrity, and Caring.

Requirements

Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Graduate of an accredited nursing school; a BSN is required.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association, ACLS certification, and proof of Arrhythmia Certification are required before the date of hire.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of one year of Telemetry experience is strongly preferred.
Previous Cardiology, Critical Care, and/or Progressive Care experience is preferred.
In exceptional circumstances, candidates with an ASN/ADN may be considered for employment.
