About The Position
United Energy Workers Healthcare is seeking dedicated and empathetic Registered Nurses to provide in-home health care to patients. The role offers a flexible, independent environment and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships while providing holistic care to energy workers. Nurses coordinate schedules directly with patients in alignment with the plan of care, approved hours, and patient preferences. This position is offered as a 1099 independent contractor role and pays $36.00–$39.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Valid and active RN license in the state of practice.
- Willingness to travel to patients' homes.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
- Professional liability coverage is required.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Warm, empathetic approach to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide personalized, comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and families about health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, with dignity and respect.
- Coordinate schedules directly with patients according to their plan of care, approved hours, and preferences.
- Monitor and promptly report changes in patient symptoms or behavior.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the treating physician.
- Communicate and collaborate with Case Managers, physicians, and specialists.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in the EMR system.
- Provide advice and emotional support to patients and family members.
- Prepare and provide clear clinical notes and charting.
