About The Position

Lifetime Assistance is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for Day Services in Monroe County. The role supports the organization’s mission to foster independence, dignity, and respect for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The RN monitors and coordinates individuals’ health and well-being, oversees medication procedures, supports and evaluates staff, maintains medical records, and collaborates with families and healthcare professionals. The position reports to the Director of Health Services and offers a starting annual wage of $74,287.32–$82,823.64, commensurate with experience and internal equity, plus a $3,000 sign-on bonus. The schedule is days, with no weekends or on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• At least one year of nursing experience.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Valid New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate the health and well-being of individuals supported, ensuring timely follow-up care.
• Oversee compliance with medication administration procedures and policies, and manage medication inventories.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate direct support staff and LPNs in nursing practices and medication protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation and electronic health records in compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with families, advocates, physicians, and team members to provide person-centered care.
• Respond to health emergencies, conduct clinical assessments, and coordinate post-discharge care.
• Provide medical coverage across assigned sites and review RN on-call reports as needed.
