About The Position
United Energy Workers Healthcare is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses to provide in-home health care to energy workers. This role is offered as a 1099 independent contractor position and provides flexible, independent work. Nurses build meaningful relationships with patients and provide holistic care that addresses medical needs and offers personal support.
Requirements
- Valid, active RN license in the state of practice.
- Willingness to travel to patients’ homes.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
- Professional liability coverage is required.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Warm, empathetic approach to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide personalized, comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and families about health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, while preserving patients’ dignity and respect.
- Coordinate schedules directly with patients in accordance with their plans of care, approved hours, and preferences.
- Monitor and promptly report changes in patients’ symptoms or behavior.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by treating physicians.
- Communicate with Case Managers, collaborating physicians, and specialists to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.
- Provide advice and emotional support to patients and family members.
- Prepare clear clinical notes and charting.
