About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The role uses critical thinking to assess patient conditions, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, and record relevant observations. The nurse delegates appropriate patient-care tasks to other staff and works as a team member to fulfill unit goals. Duties may vary by assigned unit or shift. This position is on the Medical Oncology Unit at Edward Main Hospital in Naperville. It is full-time at 36 hours per week, with day hours from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

At least 1 year of RN experience in an inpatient unit setting.
Associate degree or higher in Nursing.
If an Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of the position start date.
Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Chemo or Biotherapy Certification within 1 year of hire date.
