About The Position

Seeking a Registered Nurse for the WOW! Baptist Health Floyd, Neuro Intermediate Unit. This is a part-time position (24 Hours Weekly) with night shifts (7pm-7am) and a Weekend Only Work (WOW) schedule. This role is benefit-eligible and experienced applicants may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. The RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge, functioning as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Neuro Intermediate Unit (NIU) is a 41-bed unit specializing in both Neuroscience and Progressive Care (PCU) step-down nursing, with excellent nurse-to-patient ratios (3–4:1). The unit provides care to adult patients with common neuroscience cases including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, TIAs, seizure/epilepsy, degenerative disorders, autoimmune disorders, and central nervous system disorders. As a certified Primary Stroke Center, the team is recognized as a state-of-the-art stroke care center. The unit is supported with 24/7 leadership, including two clinical coordinators and a stroke coordinator. New graduate nurses are welcome.

Requirements

Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
BLS for healthcare provider required.
ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
NIHSS certification required (obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
