About The Position

The PACU Staff Nurse uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate high-quality nursing care. As a patient advocate, the nurse coordinates patient care through collaboration and appropriate delegation, and provides age-specific care and teaching to selected patient populations. The nurse monitors and recognizes changes in physiologic status, takes appropriate action based on assessment, and evaluates and documents findings and patient responses. The nurse interacts frequently with patient service departments and uses interdisciplinary input to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Other duties may be assigned. This is a PRN position with 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

• Minimum associate degree.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Nevada.
• Current BLS certification.
• PALS and ACLS certifications required.
• All certifications must be held through AHA or ARC.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Two years of previous PACU nursing experience preferred.
