About The Position

VitalHire is seeking a per diem / PRN Registered Nurse for a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a children's hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Nurses can use an app to select available shifts, with instant confirmations, and schedule as far into the future as shifts are available. The role pays $60.50 per hour on a W2 basis.

The position provides critical care nursing to premature and critically ill newborns and infants. Nurses manage ventilated infants, monitoring, IV and central lines, drips, and medication calculations; respond to changes in condition and participate in neonatal resuscitation; support and educate families; and accurately document care in the EHR.

Shifts are 12 hours: days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM CT or nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM CT. Facility orientation is required before the first shift and is held in Monday sessions at 7:00 AM CT.

Requirements

• Two years of NICU experience; the description specifies two years of Level III/IV NICU experience within the last five years.
• Active and unencumbered Minnesota RN license.
• Active BLS certification; AHA certification only.
• Active NRP certification.
• Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
• Hepatitis B series or titer.
• MMR series or titer.
• Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years or titer.
• Varicella series or titer.
• Completion of facility orientation before the first shift.

Nice To Haves

• Epic experience.
• Level III/IV NICU experience is preferred.
