About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution. FirstChoice Registered Nurses fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system, including local, regional, and nationwide opportunities. Nurses may be assigned to float throughout a hospital, multiple hospital locations, or regions. The position is based at Trinity Health Muskegon, with a 13-week assignment beginning as soon as possible. The schedule is three 12-hour night shifts per week, with a gross hourly rate of $81. Travel and per-diem opportunities are also available through the program.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Hold valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice or employment.
Have at least two years of recent clinical experience for Emergency Department and other listed specialties outside Med Surg, Tele, and PCU.
Maintain credentials required for the specialty area, such as ACLS or TNCC.
Obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Float throughout the hospital, multiple hospital locations, and/or regions as needed.
Apply the standard elements of professional nursing practice: assessment, outcome identification and solutions, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Practice independently and appropriately within licensure, scope of knowledge, experience, and practice area.
Remain accountable for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality improvement practices and outcomes.
Demonstrate agility and willingness to take on new and additional responsibilities.
Embrace new ideas and cultural differences while managing competing priorities.
