About The Position

The Registered Nurse renders professional nursing care to provide quality patient care. Using critical-thinking skills, the nurse assesses patients’ conditions, recognizes deviations, plans and evaluates care, monitors patient progress, and records pertinent observations. The nurse delegates appropriate patient-care tasks to other staff and works as a team member to fulfill unit goals. Duties may vary by assigned unit or shift.

This per-diem position is based in Elmhurst, Illinois. Hours are 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., or 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, as needed.

Requirements

• Associate degree in nursing or a higher-level nursing degree.
• BSN required within five years from the start date.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
• Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
