Registered Nurse (RN) - Trauma ICU

About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to patients. The RN is responsible for coordinating and integrating patient care using the nursing process and directing care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimum level of care. This is a full-time, night-shift position in the Trauma ICU. Qualified candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000, paid over 24 months.
Requirements
- Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualifying for Registered Nurse licensure.
- Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Basic EKG qualification.
- Critical care course and/or emergency care course that includes critical care didactic content.
- PALS certification within six months.
- TNCC within one year for Trauma Resus and TICU roles; optional for TSD.
- ENPC within one year for Trauma Resus; optional for TICU and TSD.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Prior clinical experience in the area of expertise.
- CCRN certification.
- TCRN certification.
Responsibilities
- Report for scheduled shifts on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
- Attend and participate in meetings and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.
- Adhere to corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Follow infection control procedures at all times.
- Adhere to established environmental care standards.
- Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process.
- Direct patient care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards.
