About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides general nursing care to ill, injured, disabled, and convalescent residents in a luxury senior living community. The role includes administering prescribed medications and treatments, monitoring residents’ vital signs, using nursing equipment, evaluating residents’ needs and conditions, and assisting with individualized nursing care plans. The nurse must be flexible with scheduling and available to work weekends, holidays, and during emergencies.

Requirements

• Current Florida RN license.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.
• Basic math skills.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and during emergencies.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in long-term care.
• Spanish language skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, including IV medications if certified.
• Measure residents’ temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to identify deviations from normal and monitor progress.
• Assemble and use equipment such as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, and oxygen suppliers.
• Evaluate residents’ needs, condition, and care, and assist in developing individual nursing care plans.
