Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery Unit
About The Position
Sentara is currently hiring a Registered Nurse to work at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital on the Surgery Unit 4 East. This is a full-time, night shift position. The unit provides quality care to adult medical/surgical patients who are acutely ill or injured, specializing in post-operative surgical patient care. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5/6. The unit is a diverse learning environment, welcoming to new graduates, and offers opportunities for professional growth and advancement into leadership roles. Primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and overall patient care responsibility. Teamwork is exceptional on this unit.
Requirements
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- RN-Diploma, ASN, BSN or MSN from an accredited school
Responsibilities
